Kirsten and Morey play with sparklers on New Year's Eve

Well, it's 2008 already. Hard to believe. My mother Julie is visiting for a few weeks. Kirsten and I finally finished some minor renovations to the house (which turned into a project slightly larger than expected). On New Year's Eve, we followed a Hawaiian tradition and ignited some lightweight fireworks in our driveway and played with sparklers.
I'm going to California next month. I hope to see my old friend Dennis in Los Angeles.
