Morey investigates a rainbow spectrum on the floor at the Burns Annual Turkey Fry on Thanksgiving Day. Up until this time, I don't think she had ever seen such a big, vibrant sprectum, and she found it very interesting. Chief Burns has friends who work with military optics at White Sands Missile Range. They work with giant lenses and prisms used on tanks and heavy armor. Cracked and flawed lenses are worthless, so they send them to Chief Burns, who collects them at his house in Kekaha. The strong sunshine on Kauai's westside turns his tank prism collection into a curious display of color around his living room. Morey playing on the floor of our new house in Koloa in her new clothes. It's been chilly lately by Hawaiian standards, so we got her a new denim jacket, new long-sleeve shirts and new pants. Her shoes are genuine Italian leather, a gift from her grandmother Lee who just came back from a vacation in Italy. Morey makes us laugh and brings us together. The living room of our new house in Omao. When Lee found this house a few months ago, it was in bad shape. Everything has been ripped out and replaced the walls, floors, bathrooms, kitchen, doors, everything. As of the first week of October 2003, the floor is almost ready to go in.
