My old house in Kekaha, Island of Kauai, Hawaii. I bought this house the same week I met Kirsten. She and I were married less than a year later and living elsewhere, so I owned this house for only a few months. This is the crew of Textron Systems Kauai as of the summer of 2001. From the left, Renato Gabriel one of the founding staff members and the only person here who's still with Textron Systems in 2005, Steve Oliver, Betty Zapata, Chris Honda, Kristian Keahi, Bob Mullins, and me. I have no idea how I got them all to agree to do a Becker Pose. I took this with a timer at the West Kauai Technology Center in Waimea, island of Kauai, Hawaii. Jennifer and Mark at Opaekaa Falls on Kauai, Hawaii. This was taken by Mark Moses on the day after my wedding. All of us had so much time together before the wedding, but only a few short hours together afterwards. This photo was taken on Wednesday, June 6, 2001 and added to the web on Tuesday, March 5, 2002. Unfortunately, this picture is overexposed. It's otherwise a great shot of Kirsten and me. A waiter took this at Tidepools Restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Kauai in Poipu Beach, Kauai, Hawaii. It wasn't a real honeymoon, but this is where we stayed for a few nights after the wedding. More precisely, this is where we were sunset on the day after our wedding. Tom Morey dances with his daughter Kirsten. They danced to the classic song "Sunrise, Sunset" which Tom used to sing to her as a little girl the lyrics are about little kids growing up to be adults. The wedding's bride knights, Mark Moses and Mark Haskins, give their speech. I was expecting something risqué and brash and sensational, but instead, I got something much better: a solemn, dignified, heartfelt expression of devotion and brotherhood from two life-long friends. Anyone can make a forgettable drunken toast, but not just anyone can pull heartstrings and impress a crowd of strangers.
