A long exposure that I took at night at Poipu Beach Park in Poipu, island of Kauai, Hawaii. The bright lights on the far left are from Brennecke's Restaurant. The lengthy exposure, about 60 seconds, blurs the moving waves on the beach. This east-facing image shows the Orion constellation the three bright stars in the center are Betelgeuse, Bellatrix, and Rigel. The moon is the bright object on the left. A palm tree casts a shadow in the moonlight at Poipu Beach Park in Poipu, island of Kauai, Hawaii. This was a long exposure at night, about 60 seconds, during which the film begins to "see in the dark", so-to-speak. Three palm trees underneath a canopy of stars in the tropical sky. I took this picture late one night at Poipu Beach Park in Poipu, island of Kauai, Hawaii. The long exposure was about 60 seconds, which resulted in the slight blurring of the palm fronds from the seabreeze. The white reflection on top of the fronds is moonlight.
